Forts In The Living Room
My sister and I loved making forts in the living room. We loved using all the tables and blankets that we could get our hands on. I don’t think that my mother was too thrilled when her living room looked like fort knox.
When Christmas came, my sister and I found two play tents in the front room already set up for us. We were so excited. The kid’s tents were a perfect gift for us. They where light weight and easily packable. Hours and hours of play time. Our mother was able to maintain her living room, and knew her blankets were intact.
Educational Games According To Age
If you have a new child in your life, you’re probably anxious to run out and spoil the kid with all kinds of toys, games, and treats. And while this desire to purchase an onslaught of gifts is normal, make sure you don’t go overboard with entirely mindless games. Invest in some educational games as well, so that you can play your part in developing this new child’s mental and physical abilities. Make sure, also, that these educational games are appropriate to the child’s age.
With that in mind, consider that very little babies are just developing the most rudimentary of skills. Get games that help them with hand eye coordination or basic visual skills. A tunnel play tent is a great way to help them explore their surroundings. A little bit older, and the child is starting to learn things like the ABCs and their numbers. Older still, and reasoning skills start coming into play with more complicated board games and card games, such as Monopoly or Stratego. If you’re not sure what level to get, always aim higher than lower. If it’s too advanced, the child can always grow into the game.
Knowing What Kids Want
Discovery kids have a really great array of products on the market. They really strive to let kid’s imaginations to a whole new level. Discovery kids also allow for great teaching tools as well. There are a lot of different activities that you can purchase for your child.
Discovery kids adventure play tent and tunnel tube is a great toy to have in your home. It allows your children to have total adventure. It will make your child be entertained for a very long time. Discovery kids really know how to make great toys.
Play Tunnel
I put my daughter into daycare when she was three years old. It was a pre school and daycare all in one. It was a great way to start her process in learning how to inner act with other people. She loved going.
When I came to pick her up one day she refused to go home. They had just gotten a play tunnel and she wanted to stay and play in it. It took about forty-five minutes for me to talk her into coming home. I had to promise her that we would get a play tunnel too.
Movie Night in the backyard…what a great idea!
I just saw a clip that Holly Robinson Peete put together showing how to make a summer night full of fun by having movie night in the backyard under the stars. I can’t think of a better way to spend a summer night especailly for the kids! It would be a lot of fun to have a cook-out and while it is still light out they could play in their tunnel play tent and at dark we could start the movie!
I am going to start planning this party! Great friends, good food and the kids will love it! What a great family night!
Inside Summer Fun!
I had so much fun at my brothers house last week playing with the kiddos in the backyard in their play tents that I am going to have a play date set up for my niece to come over and play too. This was such a great idea to set these up inside and let the kids explore and play make believe! It is way too hot outside to enjoy anything unless you are in the water.
These tents are a great way to let the kids play inside and stay cool! Believe me, it was a welcome to us parents too!
Summer fun in the backyard
I just left my nephews house and they were having a blast playing in their new kids play tent. They both were having a blast crawling through the tunnel and squirting each other with water guns!
Even the cat and dog were chasing each other through the tent tunnel. It was such a fun and relaxing summer day with my brother and his kids. I can’t wait until my next visit!
My First Job
My very first job was babysitting. I was the neighborhood sitter. Being the oldest of all the neighborhood kids, it made sense. I loved playing with the kids and coming up with new and inventive ways to entertain them. Having a big imagination helped. That is probably why I was the favorite.
I was always trying to find new and different ways to entertain. One of the things that I found was a kids tunnel. It was a long tube that you could maneuver throughout the house. It was very easy to fold back up and store. I would bring it to all my babysitting gigs. No matter how old my kids were it was fun for all of them.
Playing Pirate
As a child, my favorite Disney World ride was Pirates of the Caribbean. Now as a parent, I’m thrilled that I get to share the experience with my kids through watching the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. The kids absolutely adore Captain Jack Sparrow and spend hours pretending to scour the seas for buried treasure.
To help bring their fantasies to life, I bought them a pirate kids play tent. The tent is shaped like a castle complete with a skull and cross bones flag hoisted from the roof. The kids absolutely love it and use it as their ship or base, depending if they’re on “land” or at “sea.” The material is waterproof so it’s perfect for the backyard.
