Camo Koozies
My friends are avid hunters. They have everything camo inspired. It is quit interesting to see that all the things that they can get in camo designs. Every time I go to their house there is something else that is camo.
The one thing I was amazed to see that they had in camo was a camo koozie. They told me that they went to a hunting fair and at on of the booths they had camo koozies. It was quit entertaining to see. If it’s camo my friends will own it no matter what it is.
Fourth of July Celebration
I am headed to the lake for our annual Fourth of July celebration! It is such a long fun weekend filled with family, boating, camping and cooking out! I couldn’t think of a better way to spend this hot summer holiday!
I can’t wait to get on the boat with my favorite beverage in hand. You need to make sure you pack plenty of beer koozies though otherwise, your favorite beverage will not stay cold long in this heat!
My Caribbean Life Lesson
I remember cruising through the Caribbean last summer on a 40-foot sailboat; the sun in my face, the wind in my hair and not a care in the world. How could life get any better? Well, it did when I stopped on St. Lucia island and met a young native who taught me about what’s truly best in life. The lesson this young man taught me was of humility, love and appreciation for the things that money can’t buy.
Although I had enjoyed the beauty that nature had shone upon me that very day, I was also blinded by the means of my travel and all of the luxury that surround me. I thanked the young man for his valuable life lesson and gave him two koozies to remember me by. They had served as mementos from my college days, but it seemed like more than a fair trade for the priceless life lesson I walked away with.
Poor Cowboy Fans!
I am feeling sorry for my husband! His beloved Cowboys have had the worst start to a season since 1989 falling to 1 and 6 against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week at Cowboys Stadium. They are 0-4 at their new stadium this year and the fans in the stadium are starting to let them know exactly how they feel. In fact, last week they were chanting “Let’s Go Rangers” and by the fourth quarter there were hardly any fans left.
Regardless my husband will be all geared up this weekend…jersey on and Cowboys NFL beer bottle koozie in hand as he drinks away his sorrows! This Sunday the Cowboys take on the Packers at Lambeau Field!
Giants Win!!!!
The Giants win the World Series! Knocking off the Texas Rangers in their first worlds series appearance the Giants were able to pull off the victory in just five games! It was their first world series win since moving from New York in 1954.
There was no greater way to celebrate their Halloween victory than with my favorite cold beverage in my Giants bottle koozie! I love Major League Baseball!
Making the Most of Football Season
Football season is only around for a few fleeting months during the year, so it’s imperative to make the most of each action-packed weekend. Now that the 2010 season is in full swing, I dig in for the early morning Big Ten games on Saturday and don’t emerge until the weekend concludes with Sunday night football. And, of course, I make time for the Monday, Thursday and Friday night games as well.
It used to be burdensome to try to catch all of the action. In previous seasons, I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on premium cable packages and set up multiple flat screens so I don’t miss a second of the premier games. Fortunately I no longer have to subject myself to this thanks to the new college and pro channels which whip you around the action with no commercials or downtime. Now instead of changing channels incessantly, I can simply kick back with my beer bottle koozie and actually enjoy the games.
Making Your Own Ales
For years brewing beer in your home was illegal in the US, but that all changed in the 1980′s. During this first period of legalization, many connoisseurs began home beer brewing themselves. Although most of them only produced crude tasting products, some grew their brewing into a career. One of the most notable breweries that started in this manner is Sam Adams.
Today there are people all over who continue to brew there own beer. Many simply do it as a hobby and enjoy the liberty of adding unique flavors to their ales. One of my mom’s friends always likes to try his latest concoction out on me; unfortunately, his product, like most home brewers, is barely potable. But I still put the bottle in one of my beer koozies and slap a smile on my face.
Lakes and Celtics Hit a Road Bump
After the first few games of the Conference Finals, the Lakers and Celtics looked primed to add a new chapter to their storied rivalry. Things can change quickly however, and the Magic and the Suns have each mustered two wins, effectively extending the series. While LA and Boston are still indubitably the favorites to reach the NBA’s biggest stage, their opponents aren’t going down without a fight.
There will be several pivotal games played over Memorial Day weekend, which serves as an ideal opportunity for hosting a viewing party. You can even juxtapose your NBA shindig with your Memorial Day BBQ. I’d be willing to bet that most people wouldn’t mind seeing a few NBA koozies interspersed amongst the red, white and blue decorations.
Gone to the Lake!
It is time to get the boat ready for summer! I have never owned a boat before and this winter was sheer agony counting down the days until we could finally launch it…and this weekend is the time!
There is so much to do in preparation. I have to get all the life jackets, towels, rafts and beer koozies together so we can have a perfect summer on the lake!
Riding Along…Golf Cart Fun!
It is the perfect weather to ride along with my husband while he plays a round of golf. I love riding along, getting some sun and reading the latest gossip magazine with a cold beer in hand!
I just have to make sure I have a beer koozie to keep it cold! Too bad I can’t spend everyday cruising around without any worries!
