camo koozieThe NFL better start getting it together.  I can’t believe this lock-out has been going on so long.  Do you realize that in just a little over a month from now they are supposed to start pre-season play?  How can I root on my beloved Cowboys if there is no football?

I can’t imagine a long cold winter without nfl football.  Sundays are my favorite day…lounging on the couch with my family, cooking great food and having a cold beer in hand in my cowboys nfl camo koozie!

Poor Cowboy Fans!

Beer Bottle KoozieI am feeling sorry for my husband!  His beloved Cowboys have had the worst start to a season since 1989 falling to 1 and 6 against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week at Cowboys Stadium.  They are 0-4 at their new stadium this year and the fans in the stadium are starting to let them know exactly how they feel.  In fact, last week they were chanting “Let’s Go Rangers” and by the fourth quarter there were hardly any fans left.

Regardless my husband will be all geared up this weekend…jersey on and Cowboys NFL beer bottle koozie in hand as he drinks away his sorrows!  This Sunday the Cowboys take on the Packers at Lambeau Field!

Better Beer with Koozies

Most people assumer that a beer koozie serves the singular purpose of keeping your brewsky cold. While this is certainly one of its primary purposes, it’s not the only one. At hockey games, for example, I usually not too concerned with my beer heating up before I have an opportunity to enjoy it. What is a problem is the beer chilling my hand.

NHL koozies effectively prevent this phenomenon, creating an impregnable layer between the beer and my hand. The beer stays cool and my hand stays warm—the best of both worlds. The beer koozie also offers you a secure grip, which is essential when condensation begins to form on the outside of the can, glass or bottle.

Tailgating Time

I come from a family that loves football. We spend most of the late summer, fall and winter following the college and NFL seasons with pious devotion. We all have our favorite teams, and many heated debates that take place every year. Our favorite late summer activity is having a party in my parents’ big front yard to watch the opening day contests.

We have a huge party tent that we set up right in the middle of the yard. Our big screen TV is relocated for the event, and my brothers and I even endeavor to bring out some of the couches as well. Each person brings out as much team memorabilia as they can muster—from eccentric hats to bottle jerseys for their beer. Every year we barbecue hamburgers and hot dogs and invite all of our neighbors over to join in on the fun as well.

McNabb to Washington…Boo!

I love the Eagles, but how am I going to still root for my beloved Philly without McNabb?  He has made a move to the Washington Redskins and his press conference today was all that I thought it would be.  You could hear the disppointment in his voice…he did not want to leave.

August will be here before you know it and I can not wait to root on my Eagles with all my fan gear including my Eagles NFL koozie.  Lets just hope McNabb doesn’t have it out for us since we have to play him twice!

Today is Fat Tuesday and New Orleans has been celebrating Mardi gras non -stop since their Super bowl win on Feb 7th!  Bourbon Street is flooded with people celebrating both Mardi gras and their beloved Saints Victory.

I’m showing my pride by sporting my New Orleans Saints NFL Koozies with an ice cold beverage while cooking a Cajun feast for my family…just wishing I was there to join in the festivities!  Bring on the red beans and rice, gumbo and jambalaya…just as long as I have a piece of King Cake too!  And of course my Saints koozies for team pride!!!  YAY SAINTS!!!

What is a koozie? It is a container to keep a beverage bottle or can cold. And it is not just alcoholic beverages. The real purpose of the koozie is tokeep one’s hand warm and the beverage cold. It can be made of plain foam orneoprene and a foam variant of neoprene.

Koozies can be imprinted with your favorite NFL team. If you are a fan of this year’s Super Bowl winner, the New Orleans Saints, what a great way to show your support for the team all year long with a Saints bottle koozie.

Get Ready for Super Bowl!

With the Super Bowl less than a week away, I am already beginning to make my preparations for the big game. Over twenty years ago my dad bought a big screen for the for the Super Bowl, and he has remained loyal to that same set until this week. Since his birthday is in a couple of days, my mom and I decided to surprise him with a new LED flatscreen.

That isn’t the only thing that will make this Super Bowl memorable; it is also the first time that his beloved Saints have made in to the NFL’s penultimate game. I have made preparations to have a smorgasbord of his favorite edibles and procure a case of some choice beer. To top it all off, my mom is getting some NFL koozies and decorations to celebrate the Saints.
