My Nephews…The Future Duck Hunters

My nephews love to play duck hunting. They will be in the backyard for hours pretending that they have their pretend rifles shooting ducks. Camouflage gear from head to toe. They will hide behind the bushes for hours shooting pretend ducks all day.

One afternoon they came running into the house and told me that they couldn’t see the ducks. It was to bright outside, and the sun was hurting their eyes. They ran into their rooms and came back with camo sunglasses on. I could not stop giggling for the life of me. It was the cutest thing to see. They will make excellent hunters some day. My nephews certainly have the look down.

Blocking Out the Sun

As a contact lens wearer, I find that my eyes are especially sensitive to bright sunlight. It’s so difficult to find sunglasses with lens that are dark enough to keep me from squinting uncontrollably. If it’s a really bright day, even walking down the street can be an uncomfortable task.

Thankfully, I found LOCS Super Dark Sunglasses. These wrap around, tinted lenses block out the sun better than any other pair of sunglasses I’ve ever tried. I no longer squint uncontrollably when I’m out and about in sunny weather. The shades also look incredibly stylish and match just about every outfit.

The Search for the Perfect Sunglasses

As a resident of the sunshine state – Miami, Florida to be exact – I go through an awful out of sunglasses. I used to buy the really nice, high-end brand names like Gucci, Prada and Oakley, but after witnessing the demise of each pair –whether at the bottom of the ocean, a clean break or an irreversible bend – I put a stop to my expensive spending and headed to Target for the ultra cheap kind.

It was a good fix; every time a pair of sunglasses broke my heart didn’t break because they hadn’t cost me more than $12. I was at peace with my choice, though I did miss my fashionable lenses. Then I discovered the best of both worlds with X-Loop Sunglasses, a brand that combines a sleek, stylish look with a price that doesn’t break the bank. I just bought three pairs!

Proper Eye Care

Few can imagine what it would be like to be blind, and as the sense we depend on the most heavily, it is important to take care of our eyesight. There are two simple steps which can be taken to maintain proper vision health throughout life. First, wear high-quality sunglasses, such as Locs sunglasses, when it is sunny; it might seem trivial, but UV rays even reflecting off other surfaces can wear down your eyes over time. Second, take vitamins like beta-carotene and zinc are proven to increase eye health. Beta-carotene can be found in a variety of foods like mangoes, papayas, yams, and spinach, while a zinc supplement is necessary to acquire zinc.

Taking these precautionary measures will ensure you maintain eye health and the use of your most precious sense doesn’t deteriorate as you age.

I love how all the PGA golfer are now putting their sunglasses on the back of their hats.  When did Tiger start doing this?  I noticed it several times during the Masters this weekend.

I can’t wait to ride along in the golf cart while my husband plays a round of golf and puts his x-loop sunglasses on the back of his hat.  And they say guys don’t pay attention!

Just a few weeks to go and I will be having fun in the sun…in Mexico!  I ordered my husband a pair of x-loop sunglasses today, so he could actually lay back and relax without squinting.

The reflection off the sand is so blinding!  Now I just need to remember to pack the sunscreen!

Sunglasses: Where Function Meets Fashion

Sunglasses are most commonly associated with sunny summer days, of course, but they remain functional and fashionable year round. Just because the sun is obscured by a patch of clouds doesn’t mean that your eyes don’t require protection from harmful UV rays. If you can get sunburn on an overcast day, you can just as easily suffer eye irritation. And it goes without saying that Choppers sunglasses are about more than just their practical function.

In fact, designer sunglasses are a status symbol – just like a sports car, an expensive watch or a three-piece suit. When you put on a pair of darkened specs, you’re in effect showing everyone that you mean business; that applies you’re outside in the noonday glare or hanging out in a club with your glamorous friends. Considering that sunglasses can transform a common, everyday individual into an icon of coolness, there’s really no reason not to don a pair.

It’s a perfect day for a ride on a Harley!  There is nothing better than the wind blowing in your face and sheer thrill of riding on a bike.

Of course I have to look cute!  All I need is a great motorcycle jacket and my chopper sunglasses!
