Forts In The Living Room

My sister and I loved making forts in the living room. We loved using all the tables and blankets that we could get our hands on. I don’t think that my mother was too thrilled when her living room looked like fort knox.

When Christmas came, my sister and I found two play tents in the front room already set up for us. We were so excited. The kid’s tents were a perfect gift for us. They where light weight and easily packable. Hours and hours of play time. Our mother was able to maintain her living room, and knew her blankets were intact.

Educational Games According To Age

If you have a new child in your life, you’re probably anxious to run out and spoil the kid with all kinds of toys, games, and treats. And while this desire to purchase an onslaught of gifts is normal, make sure you don’t go overboard with entirely mindless games. Invest in some educational games as well, so that you can play your part in developing this new child’s mental and physical abilities. Make sure, also, that these educational games are appropriate to the child’s age.

With that in mind, consider that very little babies are just developing the most rudimentary of skills. Get games that help them with hand eye coordination or basic visual skills. A tunnel play tent is a great way to help them explore their surroundings. A little bit older, and the child is starting to learn things like the ABCs and their numbers. Older still, and reasoning skills start coming into play with more complicated board games and card games, such as Monopoly or Stratego. If you’re not sure what level to get, always aim higher than lower. If it’s too advanced, the child can always grow into the game.
